Digital College signs partnership agreement with HUAWEI

Following the announcement of the upcoming opening of Metaverse College, Digital College announces the signing of a partnership agreement with HUAWEI, a world leader in information and communication technology infrastructure and connected devices. As part of its dynamic evolution, Digital College aims to develop a brand new pedagogy linked to the professions of the future, offering students new professional opportunities and highlights with experts from the ecosystem.

On March 22, 2022, Olivier de Lagarde and Ridouan Abagri were received at Huawei France’s offices by Jacques Biot, Chairman of Huawei France’s Board of Directors, and 施伟亮, President of Huawei France, as part of the partnership agreement focusing on the training and certification of Digital College’s teachers and researchers, as well as its students, in line with the new challenges and needs of businesses.

For Digital College, this agreement with a major player in the digital economy creates value and employment opportunities for students in our institutions while sharing our expertise in entrepreneurial and academic innovation.” – stated Olivier de Lagarde, President of the Collège de Paris.

For HUAWEI, this initiative is part of the “Huawei ICT Academy”, a global program aimed at enhancing cooperation between the company and the academic world, creating a talent ecosystem and fostering knowledge exchange.

A partnership that provides new diploma and professional opportunities

Through the ICT Academy developed by Chinese multinational HUAWEI, students at Digital College and Metaverse College will have free access to online courses covering cutting-edge topics such as IoT, artificial intelligence, and Big Data. They will also be able to obtain Huawei ICT Academy certification, enabling them to demonstrate their skills on the job market.

The teams of Digital College and Huawei will also collaborate hand-in-hand to provide various pedagogical experiences for students. Throughout the year, the two entities will organize a number of special events, including workshops to enable students to work on real-life business cases, inter-school competitions and introductory seminars, such as on application development.

To complete this training component, Huawei experts will also be available to train interveners already active within Digital College on modules related to advanced new technologies.

This partnership will also offer students new employment opportunities dedicated to the recruitment of work-study students within HUAWEI France.
