What is a Traffic manager?
As a traffic manager, you will mainly intervene to increase the visibility of companies or their products online, and of course, to increase the number of sales. To achieve this, you will need to be comfortable with the usual webmarketing tools, such as emailing, display or paid search, using dashboards.
You will have to follow the daily audience of your website by taking into account different parameters, such visitor logs, the number of pages viewed, or the words entered in search engines.
That’s not all. You will also have to implement business strategies and manage budgets carefully.
The required skills
Your ability to anticipate and your flair will make all the difference. You will need to have a particular appetite for numbers and analysis, while being rigorous.
Your ability to use marketing tools, as well as web languages, is a major plus for your evolution, without forgetting a keen sense of communication and a good knowledge of acquisition levers.
The salary
For a junior position, the average gross annual salary is 35,000 euros. For a senior traffic manager, the salary usually reaches 50/55,000 euros gross per year, even 60,000 euros with a certain expertise.
